Sub-menus?

This is a great theme - along with grass stains - actually that is the one I've used, the green version called grass stains - anyway I wanted to know about second level menus. These sample pages don't have them. I'm finding a bit of a mess up in the css when I add a submenu (I'm using CMSmadesimple btw). Any advice appreciated...
