Though it's your first, I believe you should have done a bit more planning and research.
Too much red..Forget about the stripes to make it a candy website..
It's about christmas and not about candy. So your approach to the creation should have been 'what is
the element of a theme for christmas...

I think it is pretty if a little too much red, wonder if you put the background in snow falling blue and white theme and then left everything else the same, it would brighten it a little and I think it would be great, as it is a good job, as for me the hunt goes on trying to figure out how to do this thanks....
