Re:Muffins First Site by Themebot 1 Year, 8 Months ago I turned off the NoScript firefox addon for your site. I think any program that blocks javascript from loading automatically will cause this.

Re:Muffins First Site by MuffinDCC 1 Year, 7 Months ago I have recently been modding the phpBB forum on the site.
Below is a list of the modifications from www.phpbb.com/mods -Admin Userlist: Now in the user admin section, there is a userlist link which shows all the users in a list -EasyMOD: An auto installer for mods designed with a mod tool - instead of manually doing some mods, it does it all - causes some problems when it does not work and doesnt show you what you need to do -modCP: All moderators see the "administration panel" link at the bottom of the page but it takes them to a mini admin page which they can only edit user details, etc -Online/Offline: In posting, memberslist and profile viewing, there is now a icon for online or offline depending on your status -Staff Topic: mods and admins have an added option on every topic to make it staff only. So, even in a public forum, only a mod or admin can view it etc... -temp ban: you set the time of how long you want someone bannned - o for permanent *note* most mods for phpbb are fully integrated into phpbb3 and enhanced Also, with the issue of spambots - i have not had any yet but just incase they bots go to the direct url to register, i have activated the Captcha option so they will have to enter the code from the image, hopefully this will deter them.

Re: Muffins First Site&nb by Deborah Bryan 1 Year, 6 Months ago Another Outstanding site with great technical information.
I have been using phpbb for awhile and havn't yet found info on how to change the template. I have exchanged graphics by renaming my own graphic file example http://www.gypsyowl.org/community (This forum was set up to test an animated banner that I made from book covers pics). I would love to have the option of changing the links in the header and removing some (adding some) ... one of my forums wants the register and memberlist removed so that it will be private and 100% admin controlled for new members. Your smc science department site is awesome. I love your banner!!

Re: Muffins First Site by MuffinDCC 1 Year, 6 Months ago Thanks again for your comments
---------------------- phpbb hold alot of templates on this link >>> http://www.phpbb.com/styles/ You can view demos or scroll through the downloads from that page Also, www.phpbbhacks.com is a great place for templates ---------------------- To Install them, you have to do the following simple steps:- 1. FTP the template folder - make sure that you dont have double folders such as Template_folder > Template_folder > all your files 2. Go to your phpbb admin panel 3. Go to Styles admin >>> Install/add 4. Install the style from the table which appears 5. Go to General Admin >>> Configuration 6. Change the style from the drop down menu in the config setup that appears *Note* - make sure that you select the option to overwrite users style option 7. Submit ---------------------- Each template is slightly different in how it operates but they all are basically the same. To edit the head and links for example, you edit the overallhead.tpl file in your template root. I edit these in macromedia dreamweaver and for these sort of edits, Design View makes it easier. If not, its only controlled by basic html which is easy to alter nevertheless. These .tpl files are what make the template work - and each are named so you understand what they correspond too. Try not to edit things that you dont really know about, i only really edit the overallheader.tpl & index_body.tpl ALWAYS MAKE COPIES BEFORE EDITING THE TEMPLATE FOLDER
