This is my second attempt at a Joomla site

Graphics:
Very minor changes on thie site.

*Favicon - Simple White "m" on black background - Abuse font - Below is a site that turns any image into an icon file - extremely handy - http://www.rw-designer.com/online_icon_maker.php

*Title - Used the same font and colour as demo - yes highly original

*Banner - have yet to put my special touch onto it but it does the job

*Remository - ive change most of the larger icons to more detailed and stylist images such as the download header - a little difference

*Wimpy - Changed the skin from grey to black for better integration - hurray for photoshop and colour overlay

*Sponsor logos - Freedomain logo - a great site to get free .co.nr domains which redirect to any website location - Very strict on logos but im working on keeping my black one
-Rocket Theme logo - I edited one of the main website logos that the admins were using into a sponsor logo - just a scissors and glue job
-Simple Machines - edit of the SMF logo to fit the 88 x 31 sponsor logo style. Cropped them all and stuck them in more agreeable locations. Inverted the colours to keep the integrety of the logo colours but still fit in with my black template

I thought this required a separate category as it has some extra plugins.

Community Builder is a great profile extension which gives members that added connection to the site.

I really like the high contrast dark themes. This one looks great. There is a lot to be said for commercial templates.

Thanks for posting all of the extensions, excellent info. One suggestion I have is moving the WIMPY module to a position were it can remain active while browsing the site. Not sure if it is possible, but it would be really cool if you can keep the tunes playing while browsing around. I want to go camping

I can have the wimpy on every page. At first, i did not like music playing on every single page but last night i find the line of code to turn autoplay off.

Its just a matter of changing it from Home to All

However, that means it would reload every time you change a page - i was thinking of purchasing the AJAX fly from mambo assistance which does not refresh the whole page when you change links http://www.ajaxfly.mamboassistance.com/

Most of the better things are all commercial but its worth it

I have upgraded to the Joomlahacks Joomla-SMF bridge. It is far superior to the default one. It has more configurable options and unlike the default bridge, it comes with a multitude of plugins for Community Builder.

Its a bit more complicated to install but worth it

Thank you also for the set up details for community builder. I'll visit again soon. I really like the formats and it is inspiring me to look at my site with a new perspective. I 'get' the perfectionist statement. I am my own worst customer as well. I'ts been fun and I have learned alot by jumping in. Sure beats my previous way of 'posting pages' to the web or using tripod.

I do not think you can play with web design without having some form of perfectionsim i just keep playing and playing and i have around 8 sites to play around wth ) always something to improve
