There are over 1000 templates for Joomla 1.0.x floating around out there. I was hoping Joomla 1.5 would be ready end of year or early this month. But, of course it is ready when it's ready.

Once Joomla 1.5 is released, ThemeBot will be staying on top of the new templates as they come out. And, hopefully more people will start submitting their own templates. It is better that way, because user submissions for new themes get a link on the homepage and a topic in the New Themes forum. Also, it is a way for users to vote for which open source platform should receive the majority of the donation at the end of the year.

Well i should be experimenting with Joomla 1.5 templates when its released. I was playing around with it on a demo site of mine but it was extremely glitchy (what do you expect from a BETA)

Also, is it possible to have, for example, the 10 newest templates in a *newsflash* style box above the main section. For example, in joomla, the 10 newest will be in a newsflash.

One more question Are the templates laid out in date added order, vote order or alphabetical, i just cant figure it out

In the Gallery they are sorted by view count. In the Downloads section, you can sort by date added or number of downloads.
